People usually think my political blog is called NERO FIDDLED because I'm comparing Bush to Nero, but it's really not. (Nero and Bush are not much of a match, really. Hitler and Bush is another story, and for my thoughts on that, read this.) Actually, Nero Fiddled is the name of a musical I've worked on intermittently for years. Among the central characters is Mickey Nero, my fictional alter ego. So actually, I'm Nero. It was intended as a generational statement about apathy. I've since lost the feeling that I'm fiddling while Rome burns.
