The oil burned for five days

This won’t be a detailed progress report, but I thought I should post a quick update at the end of the five-day “sabbatical” I described in my last update. By combining two vacation days, one weekend, and one national holiday, I’ve just had the absolute luxury of five entire consecutive days working on my project. It’s been wonderful.

I did not quite finish everything on the optimistic to-do list I’d outlined for these five days, but I didn’t really expect to, and I feel good about how productive this has been. I’ve rerecorded the narration for Part 5, finished writing Parts 6 and 7 and recorded both, and taken big steps toward finished edits of all three. Parts 6 and 7 really didn’t exist five days ago (except on paper). And now they do!

I’m still hoping to finish everything by the end of the year. I’m not sure if I will — “ambitious, but not impossible!” — but after this five-day frenzy, it does seem more likely.

Tomorrow, the juggling act resumes, but I can handle it. More soon.
